Internships
Eco Era offers a perfect environment for independent directed internships. All internships are individually designed to offer an interdisciplinary approach to learn about a specific subject matter. They are interdisciplinary in the sense that in addition to concentrated course work, participants also have the opportunity for personal enrichment, practical experience, community service and outreach. Personal Enrichment, meaning that courses are designed to include time for optional healing arts activities (yoga, meditation, and natural medicine classes). A student's experience becomes not solely about mental stimulation, but also about how their inner world relates to their outer world. Outreach opportunities complement the course by providing practical avenues for experiencing the coursework in real world contexts. Through field trips and cultural experiences in the local community, activities work directly with the local environment, youth, and community organizations.
